Banks are experiencing declining revenue amid lower demand for loans. Decreased revenue is flowing through to the bottom line; profits at most major banks are down significantly. To offset the poor business performance, banks are instituting new fees for mundane services such as bank statements, accounts and even the use of bank tellers. Consumers will find these measures absurd and expensive. Many people will have to close all of their bank accounts except one in order to reduce their monthly costs. Already faced with the high cost of living and anaemic job market, Americans are not welcoming these new fees. But what is driving the fee increases? Did the banks not receive enough taxpayer money? Looking closer into the matter reveals that the new financial reform bill is putting more rules and restrictions on banks that then must pass on the cost to their customers! Questions: What are banks doing to offset reduced profit? Banks are charging new fees to customers. What is the financial situation of consumers in America? The financial situation in America is characterized by few jobs and high cost of living. Why are the new fees being implemented? The new fees are implemented due to the new financial reform bill and reduced profitability.

How to learn to speak good japanese fast

Vid on how long it took me to learn Japanese: www.youtube.com Hey all, a question I got asked a lot after my first vid was how I learned my Japanese. The good news is that I was not an exchange student, I didn't grow up in Japan. In fact, I didn't even do very well at Japanese in Uni (my university lecturer "advised" me not to take third year Japanese).... I kind of threw away the study approach and started learning in my own way, which worked well for me, although in a way that disproportionately fostered speaking ability over reading and writing ability. I found it fun and personally rewarding to work with, live with, and hang out with Japanese people a lot before even coming to Japan, and it paid off for me. Bad news is that, especially when you come to Japan, full immersion can be exhausting and mind numbing. But again, my advice is this - do not give yourself a break, at least in the beginning. As soon as you force your brain to begin clicking over in 5 year old Japanese, instead of your 20 or 30 or how ever many years English, everything will get easier, and like being a child again, your ability to understand and express yourself with better vocab will grow naturally. Some people can do it, but memorizing long lists of kanji and vocabulary, while a great preparation, just didn't work for me without the connection to how I NEED to use those words. As for the JPLT exams, my advice is this. 1) If you are studying outside of Japan, go for level 3 first. It shows basic ...

Toefl speaking question 3 (4samples)

YOU WILL FIND THE ANNOUNCEMENT JUST A LITTLE FURTHER DOWN, AFTER THE INSTRUCTIONS. Here are 4 sample questions for the TOEFL IBT 3rd speaking section. As you probably know, the speaking part of the test is divided into 6 different sections. The following video deals with the THIRD section (Read, listen and summarize). This question requires you to read an announcement and to listen to a conversation between two students as they discuss the announcement. Oddly enough, one of the passages here involves only one student ranting about the announcement. But the question remains the same; what does he/she thinks and why? That question is fairly easy since all you have to do is read and listen carefully, take notes about both the text and the conversation and then regurgitate the information using your own words. You MUST NOT add any information of your own. You simply have to stick with the information provided to you by the test and add nothing else. I suggest you structure your answer using the following pattern: 1: Quickly sum up the content of the announcement 2: Clearly state the position of the man or woman (depending on the question) 3: Give 2 reasons/arguments why they think the way they do. 4: Give details (examples) that the students use to illustrate their arguments. 5: End up with a neat concluding sentence (that is why the man thinks the library should kind of thing!) Jerry Porrass research interests are the characteristics of visionary companies in both the United States and Europe; the dynamics of planned organizational change process; organizational vision and its influence on the long-term behavior organizations; and leadership. Jerry I. Porras is the Lane Professor of Organizational Behavior, Emeritus. He received his BSEE from Texas Western College, his MBA from Cornell University, and his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles. Among the honors he has received are the Brilliante Award from the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, the Silver Apple Award from the Stanford Business School Alumni Association, and the Kanter Medal from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. Here is a complete sample of the IBT TOEFL speaking section. There is a total of six questions. Question 3 and 4 requires you to read something and I put the texts down below. You must read them before listening to the conversation/lecture All Students live in Dormitories (Question 3) At the start of the new school year next fall all students will be required to take residence in the university dormitories. By having all students live on campus, the university will not have to increase student housing fees as it has been forced to do in each of the past 5 years. The fact that all students wil l be spending more time on campus will permit them to take part in more extracurricular activities. The university administration feels it is important for student to engage in activities outside of class in order to attain a complete college experience. Sampling error (Question 4) In any kind of survey or scientific study where data is analyzed, researchers try as much as possible to obtain a true random sampling of the data they are studying. However, there is always some element of error in their studies. This is called the sampling error. Sampling error is usually expressed as a percentage which shows the possibility for error in the study. Researchers attempt to get the sampling error to as low of a number as possible. As a general rule, the lower the sampling is, the more accurate the research being performed is.
