I understand what you are saying, and often yes, history can be distorted through perspective, and yes, eras like the weimar republic would have crumbled without him. But I am not concerned with his charm, ambition and likability. It is his ideals that define him, and he made those very clear, even writing them in mein kampf. Hitler saw the jews as a scourge that needed to be exterminated for the aryan race to prosper, and policies like gleischaltung gave him the totalitarian power to do it.
