Well we just had a ...
Well we just had a job lose report of over a hundred thousand jobs in a pop.of 30million as opposed to the states of 600k for 300+ million. That's scary. We actually produce very little, we have raw materials but very little manu-base left. Securing our borders is actually a decent idea. Things are going to get really bad. It's pretty evident that gov't re-distribute poverty in Canada, not wealth. Everyone I know is poor, they don't even have an emerg-stash; they have payment plans only.

Perhaps we could ...
Perhaps we could get Peter to come to canada and slash all of our nanny state programs. oh how all the single mothers on smellfare would be pissed. All the welfare clans might actually have to get a job. i'm a libertarian and it's hard to preach to fellow Canadians why? because we are a country of take and then give right back. Everyone is on some kind of assistance. everyone. Babybonus ,GST,OAS,GI(?), smellfare, pogie, now this new welfare program to help so called hurting people. No end ,ENOUGH!

I don't think ...
I don't think that's quite accurate. I don't think anyone WANTS businesses or individuals to go bankrupt. Peter is simply saying we have to stop artificially propping up bad businesses with YOUR tax dollars. The markets have to adjust themselves to get back on track, not be regulated by government mandate. Look around you. What he is predicting is happening right in front of your eyes. I always hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Titanic is sinking whether you acknowledge it or not.

I would support him ...
I would support him if I could. I tried to give money to Ron Paul in a money bomb but I'm Canadian and apparently it's not allowed.

You have my vote ...
You have my vote Peter. We need people like You and Ron Paul to put an end to these bailouts to "save the economy". These banks need to go under and let the honest banks take the lead. Who said we need Citigroup, JP Morgan? They can all go to hell as far as I'm concerned. They never gave me a cent of their profit! Why on earth should we allow our tax money to go to them? This is money we should be using for healthcare, infrastructure, housing and education! But private banks? Unbelievable!

He doesn't "want" ...
He doesn't "want" the USA to go bankrupt, he says it's going bankrupt and if you don't want to go down with it, you need to get your money out of dollars. If you ever hear him speak, he says why it's going bankrupt, what they could do to prevent it, and never sounds too happy about it that they keep making things worse. Besides, the USA already went bankrupt in 1971 when Nixon closed the gold window.

So, Peter is ...
So, Peter is basically saying: if you'all can get a good grass roots organization underway, I'll consider it. So, it's up to us. Assuming Peter embraces very similar viewpoints to Ron Paul with regard to foreign policy I think his candidacy would have a great deal of appeal to a great many Americans right about now. A Peter Schiff senatorial candidacy has great potential, and will have even more when people see that "big government" Politics-as-usual is not the cure for the economy.

I will send 10 trillion dollars from Europe, Spain, if he runs for President by 2012. (I guess it would take me 100 euros by then)
