Let's hope that sooner rather than later humankind wakes up and realizes what we have done to ourselves and everyone and everything else. Perhaps we will feel the shame and the regret that will be inevitable, and from that maybe some sort of personal change may be possible. If not then we will be forced to live out our lives in fear and despair forever. I truly hope not. I for one will not.
