Captioning is ...
Captioning is limited to text. You could build a picture-in-picture captions system, as I think you are asking, but that would all be custom stuff.

Can I use caption ...
Can I use caption to caption videos during the playing of a orginal video. So a new video can stop the original video and caption in a xml file etcc.

Yup. I show the default behavior in this clip. But actually, there is an optional parameter on the FLVPlaybackCaptioning component, where you can point it to any textfield -- and then you can position and design that textfield as you like.

Is it possible to move the closed captioning off of the video? I don't want the CC covering up any parts of the video and rather display the text in a designated area of my custom built player. richmediainstitute? anyone?
