Thanks happyquails! You make a very valid point. In fact, the question did in fact arise as the Community Alliance group was planning their day. The video shown here reflects some of the views and opinions of SBS students and faculty but comes no where near answering the question of "What is culture?" We used this video to introduce a morning of workshops that would delve deeper into the discussion of culture. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I think it is helpful to compare and contrast the definitions of culture with that is ethnicity in order to be able to identify the distinctions which differentiate them. These distinctive concepts are also encountered in college work so it would be advantageous to clarify this early on.
