OK so what or who is going to supply this computer with raw materials? somebody has to do some work...and people need profit for their labors...can't see why Peter is having so much trouble figuring this out. you can't have free for everyone...there has to be a "market" with some sort of currency in there. Stefan might support his child but as i have just explained with the healthcare analogy, a cost is incurred somewhere and that is by Stefan, so it is not free. Much like the laws of physics state you cannot create or destroy energy. What you are going to have to explain is how healthcare, medical care and housing are suddenly going to become free.

It's a world where nothing is free to produce. Everything incurs a cost be it financial, labour or some kind of resource (all 3 of which are essentially financial). For example in my country we get 'free' healthcare. But it is not actually free, it's just the way it's funded. This is the underlying problem with the VP (well actually there are numerous). Claiming things are free which are not free.

SPACE HAS ABUNDANCE OF RESOURCES! I have a idea that is a transition to the venus project,BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT TRANSITION over time. My idea is a 1/2 and 1/2 we let automation give us are basics,energy,food,water,health,education, all free,but we still can earn that car,tv,trip for now as the incentives we are custom to till we transition into star trek! star trek had no money :P
