Inaugural Zeitgeist Media Festival 2011 Brings Socially Conscious Art to the Vancouver Art Gallery Sunday, September 11, 2011 A screening at the Denman Cinema Saturday, September 10, 2011 Featuring a world Premier Documentary of Architects and Engineers: 9/11: Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out With Additional Global Events happening September 9th through 11th The inaugural Zeitgeist Media Festival (ZMF), uniting the world through socially conscious art, happens in Vancouver on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at The Vancouver Art Gallery... and around the world on the same weekend! The not-for-profit festival features music, visual and interactive art, speakers, comedy and includes a concert featuring forward-thinking local artists. The September 11th Zeitgeist Media Festival located at the VANCOUVER ART GALLERY runs from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm and is a FREE all ages event. In addition, the festival is part of a global food drive; attendees can also contribute a small canned/sealed food donation to both the screening and the festival event. The SCREENING September 10th will be held at Denman Cinema located at 1737 Comox Street, Vancouver. Doors at 6:30 pm, event at 7:00 pm. FOOD DRIVE ZMF is a global, multimedia event working to utilize the Arts as an avenue to create sustainable values in the pursuit of a better world. ZMF Vancouver event will also host a food drive, in partnership with the Vancouver Quest Food Exchange. Quest is British Columbia's largest food exchange program assisting low-income individuals and families in the Lower Mainland to overcoming their barriers with dignity and encouraging self-sufficiency. Several nonprofits will also be on hand at the Vancouver Art Gallery festival event with information booths on-site. Across Canada and throughout the USA, from London to Israel, ZMF expects over 70 parallel events. The global events are being updated on the ZMF global website as they are finalized.
