Adding Text (Closed Captions) To YouTube Videos

I was wondering at first how you did yours because the captioning doesn't match your speech some of the time. But, I see the transcribers alter it.

You have to do it ...
You have to do it from a .txt file. Word documents insert all kinds of extra characters, which is what you're seeing. Simply open up Notepad (or another text processing program) on your computer, then copy the document out of word and paste it into the text document. You may have to fix a couple of characters (', ", -, etc.) then save the file and upload that file. Should work just fine!
