The problem is ...
The problem is everyone grew up in the 60s ~90s they are used to rapid economic expansion fueled by "cheap oil", now that the "easy and cheap" energy is all used up......... you will see a move towards sustainable products by the next generation as they get used to the progressively more difficult life. Living standards are all down hill from here, until we have some kinda genius breakthrough in energy production (fusion or something).

first we need to ...
first we need to enable people to get off the grid. Your own place. your own food. your own energy. We dont need much more then food and shelter. We need no jobs. We need liberty. Who is controling the resources? who says who gets what ressources? who says who needs what ressources and how much of it? We need no united nations, we need no countrys, we need no rulers and leaders. All we need is Liberty.

That is so ...
That is so illogical its not funny...If you knew how money was created you would understand how it is impossible for everyone to buy "expensive" goods...or in your view, quality goods. It is simple to understand that companies withhold from making quailty if it means consumers will come back to spend more later. Also if consumers are buying cheap its probably because they can't afford to, not because they are "cheap" what does that even mean? ha and whose fault is it that ppl are brok

The economy is the ...
The economy is the weakness of a country. We might be in prosperity but for a while, then when we get into crisis, we end up weakening, weakens the technology and science behind why will not the money to support everything, so we humans sat in the same pebble near the sea thinking -Will we one day reach other planets? Not without that cash-based economy disappears. So its time to change, and change means now. RATING: ✩✩✩✩✩✩ :D

its not that they ...
its not that they dont want to have quality, but if you would make quality stuff it would be more exspensive to make. So if you have a limit ono how mutch money you have and "make" you got to select the most affordable gods. And dont forget the advertisment that "tells" you what to buy if you are so and so. "Get happy for only 9.99"

The Money System ...
The Money System can be slain TODAY. It is only an issue of the Collective withdrawing it's belief in it. Liberation is Here NOW.

your missing the ...
your missing the point ppl want cheap things because of affordability yes but if these companys put out the best possible goods it would be bad for biz take the money out of it and we would have much less waste Benjamin Franklyn invented the light bulb that would last 80 years guess what happened to that ???

MrThinPin on 2011-04-10
This movie is SOOO ...
This movie is SOOO wrong its not even funny.... The problem is that the CONSUMERS dont WANT to buy things that last forever, because it would cost "too much". People are only interesting in things that are as cheap as walmart. Well, dont blame capitalism blame your own fat lazy cheap butts! It's always someone else's fault, isnt it?

Your every ...
Your every assertion depends on them. There is literally no way you can believe what you claim to believe unless you think how I said you think. Put it another way, would YOU buy products that were deliberately designed to fall apart early and be hard to repair? Or would you buy competing products? So why do you assume everyone else is stupider than you? Because people stupider than you are rare.

newperve on 2011-02-12
You do believe that ...
You do believe that or you wouldn't assert your claims over how producers would act. Producers want to sell stuff, they can only do that if consumers buy. Why would consumers buy a product that doesn't last as long as competitor's products and can't be repaired unlike competitor's products? Your assertions only work if consumers are stupid and have no concern for the future. I have heard of planned obselence it also assumes consumers are idiots.

Korebyn on 2011-02-11
"You simply insist ...
"You simply insist that every consumer is a mindless drone and every producer wants to screw them over, with no evidence whatsoever." I don't believe that at all, thus i never said those things. Again, more projection... It is in the best interest of the manufacturer to as profitable as possible. They are not trying to "screw over" the consumer. They are being loyal to their interest and the interests of their shareholders. Ever heard of "planned obsolescence"? I guess not... oh well.

Korebyn on 2011-02-11
"And I love how ...
"And I love how you're projecting because you're an asshole." and you say I'M projecting... lolz but, it al seriousness... I haven't said any of the things that you say I have.

newperve on 2011-02-11
And I love how ...
And I love how you're projecting because you're an asshole. I did more than adequately defend my arguments. All you've done is make a series of less and less rational assumptions about how people behave in the marketplace. You simply insist that every consumer is a mindless drone and every producer wants to screw them over, with no evidence whatsoever. In fact your entire video and every response you make is simply more bullshit assertions.

Yeah moron because ...
Yeah moron because every consumer is as stupid as you and never thinks about how much buying an unrepairable item will cost him in the long run. No it doesn't make sense for a manufacturer to deliberately make his item less repairable and thus less valuable to the consumer. That's a real easy way to lose customer you nitwit.

newperve on 2011-02-11
It's not wasteful ...
It's not wasteful not to reclaim resouces that would are less valuable than the resources used to reclaim them. So go on, go to some trash piles and start reclaiming if they are so much more valuable than the resources used to reclaim them. What still here? For fuck's sake just because a resource isn't recycled doesn't make the process wasteful, it's about which resources are valuable, which you're totally uninterested in because you have no idea how to be economical.

newperve on 2011-02-11
Yeah that's the ...
Yeah that's the best you've got, deliberately misunderstanding irony. Or was it deliberate? Learn basic economics before you call someone stupid, start with opportunity costs and why people might not use the technically "best" materials.

Korebyn on 2011-02-11
" I mean after all ...
" I mean after all I'm really stupid and have no concept of the future." Your honesty is appreciated. ( =
