The Zeitgeist Venus Project And Why A Resource Based Economy Won't Work

Continued video here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMmxu-1LLVE I am not the narrator. The video belongs to a friend. I decided to put his videos together concerning The Zeitgeist/TVP because it raises the most important questions most people forget to ask concerning the movement. I feel this is very significant. I was once a supporter of the Zeitgeist movement till I finally understood more and realized I was part of a "cult". You have just ...
You have just summed up the argument I have been trying to get the Peter Joseph devotees to understand, good job my friend, good job.

well we always ...
well we always shared the same planet. No matter what conflict there is anywhere, our atmosphere is damaged. The so called innocent and by-standers will still be effected.

This is idiotic ...
This is idiotic because if someone weasels their way into the upper echelons of monetary global policy of or any sufficiently large country and makes the purchases... then a resource-based economy would occur. No blood, just money. And the many people who would cling to their small personal property likely could be ignored because no one could survive literally on their own with only a bit of land. i'm not for or against the zeitgiest movement but this is clearly begging the question.

basically nuclear ...

You said you use to ...
You said you use to be a member of the TZM, and you are right about being a cult and looked as terrorist organization by the FBI. PJ didn't figure out how to make the change without coercion, then he changed the stance and talk about end of individual liberty, religion, cultural values, "slavery", etc. I think they will never go forward a dreaming (the biggest mov. ever but not a single concrete step). I would like to see the answer too. Congrats! :)

the zeitgeist idea ...
the zeitgeist idea sounds an awful lot like the globalist New World Order idea.

Whether I own ...
Whether I own private property or not, I will not and will never give up any of my freedoms to live in this doomed society the Zeitgeist movement wants to create.

@37butterflyprincess that analogy doesn't work because compartments in a ship are completely isolated, whereas all economies in the world today are linked by trade. If one economy collapses, the rest are all affected massively.

a single global ...
a single global economy is a horrible idea. imagine a ship. if we have only one chamber (one economy) in the ship and a whole is sprung in the hull, the entire ship will sink. if however the ship has multiple separate chambers that can be sealed off from the others in an emergency it doesn't sink the entire ship.

@777Carmine777 tell ...
@777Carmine777 tell your friend who made this movie that if certain people don't want to give up their land then their land and the resources in it will be taken out of the first step of a resource based economy, which is to survey the whole earth for usable resources

I agree with your ...
I agree with your stance on this to a degree. I think the only way to obliterate the monetary system is to shift from individualism to a single global entity, as in we would need everyone on board rather than some or most people. I researched a lot about RBE and the idea is undoubtedly a promising one. But yeah, we need more than a plan, more than absolute critical thinking, we need to a system that will build itself, without opinions or values, a system that is aware of itself.

@777Carmine777 ... ...
@777Carmine777 ... a very fine analysis, indeed. I do tend to think, though, that there is a more efficient and historically-supported way of stating it: TZM's vision of a RBE basically amounts to "Collectivism via Magic Robots", similar to how Stefan Molyneux puts it. Collectivism is very well defined/elaborated on, and add the whole "magic robots" element, and there you have it.

If there is no ...
If there is no value in land, as is the case that we can grow without land, ownership is less valued. If you want to live alone with a lot of money, fuel and munitions around you on your little plot of land, that is fine. I will not force you, are you trying to force me? My primary goal is to let others know there is another way..a much better way IMHO. Most are not as educated as you. Less than 100 years ago, women could not vote in California. Things can change for the better.

on the one hand, ...
on the one hand, some people believe property rights are irrelevant to true nature (what authority do people have to "own" land, who says they own land..other people, paperwork, for example)..on the other hand there are people who worked hard to acquire rights to land and/or who have pride in inheriting their "family's land"..if we stay with our current economic system war is inevitable..if we transition to a resource based economy war is also inevitable..what are we then? we are rotting matter
