Zeitgeist: Moving Forward | Official Trailer - [ Extended ]

SYNOPSIS: Zeitgeist: Moving Forward, by director Peter Joseph, is a feature length documentary work which will present a case for a needed transition out of the current socioeconomic monetary paradigm which governs the entire world society. This subject matter will transcend the issues of cultural relativism and traditional ideology and move to relate the core, empirical "life ground" attributes of human and social survival, extrapolating those immutable natural laws into a new sustainable social paradigm called a "Resource-Based Economy". THEATRICAL RELEASE - Zeitgeist: Moving Forward is planned to be released in 60+ countries and in 20+ languages starting January 15th 2011. This large scale release is not associated with any major distributor. DVD/INTERNET RELEASE - This is a non-commercial project, which means it will be available for free acquisition via internet in both viewing form and full DVD download. ZeitgeistMovingForward.com will also have a physical $5.00 DVD available in mid to late January. http://www.zeitgeistmovingforward.com Download 854x480 : http://vimeo.com/15520868

unfortunately, self ...
unfortunately, self-sufficiency is far more important. Robots with artificial intelligence doesn't necessarily mean free labor. They still need energy supply and let's not forget that as soon as any one person realizes that such a market can be capitalized upon, it WILL be. This monetary system and greed will last as long as the few and the many dissociate and common ground is realized as ideal for human preservation.

ADVERTSING brain- ...
ADVERTSING brain-washing with BRAINWASHING- this is out of any humanitarian context that society may want to relate to, people are creatures of habit and comfort, this is the wrong way to go about liberating minds and enhancing critical thinking abiliites and skills. Surely, this induces FEAR rather than awakening.

2.5 million in prison, private prisons float on stock market by number of prisoners they hold... So when you see those rap stars getting paid by corportations to say its cool to go to jail, get money quick etc... Possible link here...

I did not think this moment had a prayer BUT i was VERY impressed by the prediction of robots working for free that had artificial intelligence. That is actually VERY workable and doable. If the workforce works for free then money is meaningless, VERY TRUE!!! If the new slaves become the machines it will be happy days for use humans!!! Build be a new home and a new car bitch,,,, "YES MASTER, I WILL OBEY" That is just a matter of time now. Free labor will change the world!!!!

What a waste of ...
What a waste of energy it seems... To post comments criticizing or pointing out that all of this has been said by someone else... Does it make you smarter or better that you have already heard this info or read it in some historical super hero's manifestos... But it's not surprising as criticizim comes much easier than craftmanship... What would be impressive is some ideas on solutions or what a person is doing to change this world for the better... I think that kind of what this is all about..

Why is this a top ...
Why is this a top comment?! The whole concept that Zeitgeist tries to explain is how currency is a flawed idea... As soon as someone has more money than another person, equality becomes void. It makes no difference whether it's an independently-run currency or a government-run currency.

I can tell from ...
I can tell from your comments that you did not watch the film all the way to the end where it proposes it's solution which is quite different from Marx's. There's also other important clips from TZM that you've missed most notably: "Where are we going" and "Where are we now" which explains the technicals of an automated system of resource usage and consumer demand tracking using computer systems. It's useless for me to explain in more detail until you've watched them.

uberschnack on 2012-01-15
yes of course there ...
yes of course there are things in today's world which Marx did not foresee. My question is why would you go to such lengths to reproduce what has already been said better by someone else? More importantly, unlike Marx, they fail (as far as I can see) to offer any sort of concrete program to improve the world. Granted, I think Marx has been shown to be wrong in a number of instances, but at least he had the intellectual courage to say what he thought should be done.

technatezin on 2012-01-12
Sure, but tell me ...
Sure, but tell me what are some ideas that could supercede Marx's ideas of capital? In over 150 years of scientific and technical progress there is nothing that could improve upon Marx or correct his errors?

uberschnack on 2012-01-10
Zeitgeist: ...
Zeitgeist: Reiteratiing what Karl Mar said over 150 years ago. Why should I watch the movie when I can (and have) read his books? There's a lot of jargon and techno-babble which attempts to obfuscate the fact that the ideas contained herein are NOT NEW.

That caught my ...
That caught my attention as well; however, our gov't has been doing that since its inception! When I really think about it, I'd rather for someone to make exaggerated claims in attempt for a better society as opposed to adhering the habitual lying and deceptive tatics from a system that is sick and virtually enslaving us all. Real talk.

Such a great documentary! I don't usually do this, but if you're interested in (being informed or..) changing the world in a positive way here's some other documentaries/persons you could check out: Collapse, Food Matters, Thrive, Gasland, Home, The Disclosure Project, Ron Paul, John Lennon, David Icke, Peter Joseph, Graham Hancock, Bill Hicks, Alex Jones, Joe Rogan w/ Duncan Trussell. These are the best of the best in my opinion after at least 5year research. Hope it'll help! Peace.

Zeitgeist is a two- ...
Zeitgeist is a two-sided coin. They make more than a few good points, but use intellectual dishonesty and misinformation to support their point at all costs. The REAL CHANGE has to come on the level of critical thinking and the ability to break down arguments into logical positions and evaluate the principles at work. Zeitgeist does not do that here, and I believe they are promoting the opposite. "Moving Forward" shows Joseph as hypocritical and deceptive. Both are unacceptable.
