its not a belief ...
its not a belief that science solves all. its that actualy efficiency (as opposed to cost efficiency) and sustainability can solve almost all are needs and most of our wants. if about using the best means possible todo everything. whats the alternative? - some doubt about cost eficiency is the most efficient means?1 example -its cost efficient to use less advanced methods of maunufacturing in china and ship the goods to america - but actualy -it takes more labor fuel ships and time.

If what you say is true, then what is taking them so long ? they might as well nuke us all right now and they'll be the absolute rulers of wasteland. No I don't think the top of the pyramid has anything to do with Resource Based Economy, in fact they're trying to put this down. Not entirely true. religion can often prevent some of the ideas that this movement is trying to advocate. For example, evolution is a requirement to believe in for this movement's ideals & a lot of Christians reject the idea of evolution for fear that it conflicts with the Bible.

- Yes, it's unfortunate the Zeitgeist movie gets lumped in with the Resource Economy. Doesn't help matters. I love the idea of the RBE, too. And maybe it's not attainable. But I don't think the human nature issue is the biggest hurdle. This system which requires us to fight and take from each other has conditioned us. But people would rather cooperate than compete. If only we had a system which allowed us to do that, I believe our progress would double! Thanks for your thoughts.

I doubt that we have any idea what "human nature" is, separate from culture. Contemporary culture defines our "cultural nature" which has a cumulative affect on what we call the "self". What you are today would not be possible without other people, evidenced by what you might be without the benefit of other humans to drive your development.What you call "human nature" is likely nothing but cultural programming which is currently (mostly) driven by institutionalized aberrance and greed.

Thanks for letting me know that-- but either way, he shouldn't bundle it as a Zeitgeist film if he didn't want it to be associated with the other two... people aren't going to make that distinction themselves. I love the idea of resource based economy but it seems unattainable because humans by nature are competitive. It would seem to stagnate progress because everyone will reap benefits from your hard work which may be a great deal harder than, say, a gardener... just thoughts.

-- When Peter Joseph made the first movie with the section on religion, he'd never heard of a resource based economy. He didn't know there would be a Zeitgeist Movement two years in the future. You're still making a connection that's not there. And religions don't have to be cast away. People can believe in whatever God they want to. Just leave it out of the tech-systems. There's no better "Christian way" to design a solar collector or wind turbine. It's about science and facts.

I know the movement itself does not involve religion-- but to get there religion has to be cast away because it does not fit or belong in the Zeitgeist resource based economy. So indirectly it is involved-- Peter Joseph chose to debunk Christianity for that reason.

- Easy does it. I was telling you that the Zeitgeist Movement has nothing to do with religion. And all you want to do is talk about religion. See how divisive it is? TZM promotes a resource-based-economy, which is about creating a sane and humane social system that benefits all people, not just a few, and gets rid of these endless wars, human suffering, starvation, etc. Sounds like a very "Christian thing" to do. We need to work together. Peace on earth is the goal.
