Granted but the time and effort had to go into the elimination of that problem forever. Then there is no need for heroes. I do see your point but I think it is easy to see how the engineer who dedicates his life to eradicating a problem is overlooked to a far greater extent. Thats the point.

You are talking about an abstract notion. Communism is a very vague idea and the argument that "TVP is Communism" is actually not even an argument. Or a point worth making..... 1) I've never understood it as "elimination of private property." I understand it as a moving beyond everyone having their own one of each and everything. when you say older generation you shouldnt be talking about last generation that are raising us... the world has been fucked up for long time... recently we invented technology that allows us to easely leave any kind of slavery and become truly free. I agree that the engineers are most of the times ignored for their accomplishments. But you have to keep in mind that selflessness is uncommon in our society and somebody risking their own live to help people who dropped over a cliff in my oppinion has earned some recognition for his selfless act. An engineer installing a safety device usually does that job in safe(r) conditions.

Yeah I did generalize, shouldn't do that, but so many of the people causing the problem are of the older gen and now are getting younger people to do the same as they did, its a vicious cycle, but yes the old and the young do both contribute to this messed up world.
