Unfortunately intelligence alone is not going to save the human race. It seems we are fundamentally flawed. We are competitive, combative and threatening and threatened. Well, the popular theory is that every civilization self-destructs only after the discovery of the atom bomb (within 1000 years). This is based on probabilities. I agree. Again, I know they shouldn't fight and they have wonderful ideas. I love em. But the problem is not the technology so much that is wrong as with human nature. I could imagine a thousand Peter Joseph's living together and killing each other in the end over something trival and unimportant. I saw it so many times.
