Don't be a lazy bugger. Read the book. Every film version is only about 50% of the plot anyway.The whole experience in full detail will be worthwhile. Trust me.

I used to watch this movie with my parents when I was about 6 or 7 years old....... I was looking everywhere for this film and finally found it. Thank you ever so kindly for posting it on youtube. It made my day....what a treasure of a film. And Jean Gabin ....wow. Amazing actor, one of the best ever. Thanks again.

in French version they deleted some scenes at thénardiers where Javert is looking for Jean valjean and the doll is in the girl's bedroom.SO bad!they could have let all the scenes.Some scenes are important!!

I HAVE THE VHS OF ...
I HAVE THE VHS OF THIS MOVIE AND I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY HAD DELETED SCENES, BUT THE SCENE WHERE THENARDIER PROVED TO MARIUS WHO JEAN VALJEAN REALLY IS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOWN COMPLETELY BECAUSE IT IS PART OF THE NOVEL.
