Venus Project - Filing unfounded DMCA claims to silence dissent is an abuse of the law

On Feb 8, 2011 I received a notice from Youtube informing me that two of my videos were taken down due to a DMCA copyright claim filed by Jacques Fresco and Roxanne Meadows. I immediately filed a counter claim based on the fair use provisions of U.S. copyright law under 17 U.S.C. section 107 Which specifically states that the fair use of a copyrighted work for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting and teaching is not an infringement of copyright. My counter claim was successful. Please watch the video that was re-instated http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHIgA6A0sv8

For someone who is ...
For someone who is so anti-corporation and against private ownership, Fresco really loves using DMCAS. If TZMers/TVPers don't see the extreme level of hypocrisy in these acts then they've drank too much kool aid.

Man research about ...
Man research about Peter Joseph first, Venus project separates from TZM because Peter thinks like you, that should not be ownership on ideas an such, give it a second shot and correct this video please, is not nice misinforming people. Thanks.

What is the song ...
What is the song at the end?

a solution to ...
a solution to putting out the fire in a burning building would be to throw sand on the fire...just having a solution The ZM hasn't explained what equations they will use to calculate this resource based economy or who will program the computer that determines all of tthis...EVERYONE has tto go along with their shit and EVERYONE has to put their faith in a central computer for it to work...loooks like a solution but it really isn't. THey are dangling the erradication of poverty as a golden carrot

Oh and I LOL'd real ...
Oh and I LOL'd real hard at the comment by SCG about not making stupid insulting comments when his videos are exactly this, just in video form. On second though I never laughed I just cried a little inside thinking that I am of the same species as this guy.

Chetvitikiz on 2011-05-22
Hey guys! Lets all ...
Hey guys! Lets all talk about how the world economy is collapsing and how government is abusing people's rights. THEN Lets make videos bashing the only organization that is promoting a solution. This guy is the biggest hypocrite on youtube imo. Countless videos of bullshit bashing a peaceful organization. Talking about seeking truth but blatantly lies, while ignoring logic and scientific fact. SCG is exactly the type of person that is impeding the progress of humanity. Honestly pathetic. FIN

Well tvp is no ...
Well tvp is no longer part of zeitgeist movement so this really doesn't apply anymore

You talk waaaay too ...
You talk waaaay too fast. And the people here agreeing with you are morons. You might want to take that into account when you denigrate a new, very powerful movement with a lot of supporters. ZM supporters are mostly highly intelligent and thoughtful. Your supporters seem full of hate.

absolutelyfree1963 on 2011-03-04
Hi. Just a ...
Hi. Just a suggestion. While I can follow your speech, I do consider you are talking way too fast. You have no power behind your words. The power of delivery is in pacing and pause. Also, I hope (but don't care) that you did not consider my comments (anti TZM) were too inflammatory. We do not need debate. TZM is a dangerous nonsensical variant of "pie-in-the-sky" socialism and needs to be squelched like a fire, not debated. I am surprised you appear not to understand this?

Thanks for the ...
Thanks for the advice, but I think I'm fine. And you know what? Even if I was unhappy, it wouldn't matter, because unlike I know when I'm responsible for my own mistakes, I don't just start making videos bitching and moaning about how 'society made me do it! Bwaaah! Bwaaah!' Ok Neo, I'm done, you can back to being bitter and sulk in a corner, or plot to overthrow the Western world, or whatever it is you people do in your spare time.

Neanderthalcouzin on 2011-02-28
You should take ...
You should take Stef from FreedomainRadios advice and speak to a trained therapist. Im not pulling your leg, you need to get to the bottom of why you do this. Otherwise you'll hit a wall one day and get seriously introspective, and it will screw with your head.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-28
Besides why should ...
Besides why should I be bitter? I didn't get my ass kicked and humiliated in the Cold War, unlike some others I could mention.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-28
I don't really like ...
I don't really like the beach so I'm not envious of you, and we'll see, but if you insist on following deranged old men in a quest for some Utopian dream society, I don't see much of a brighter future for you either, Neo.

Neanderthalcouzin on 2011-02-28
Chomsky is bitter? ...
Chomsky is bitter? I'd add that to another one of your misrepresentations. We have been over this, Golden King, I live on a house by the beach and I'm doing what a love. I will also look back and know that I did my best, learned, listened carefully, saw the world and didn't take it for granted. You on the other hand. You may not look back and feel so stellar about these kinds of moments. I'm not kidding: I think you have an unhappy life.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-28
Still bitter, I see ...
Still bitter, I see, Neo. Well good for you. Years I picture you being like Noam Chomsky: a bitter old man pathetically and uselessly lashing out against the system he wasted his life fighting against, knowing full well he failed and the system will still be alive long after he's dead.

Neanderthalcouzin on 2011-02-28
Thats a pretty ...
Thats a pretty laughably inaccurate representation, but I would expect no less from you.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-27
No, there's just ...
No, there's just farming machines and robots and shit which they can turn against the populace, or alternitavely, they can just shut down everything and hide in a bunker, and starve the people into submittion. But fine then, I've already made my point and I didn't find your counterpoints to be satisfactory, so I see no reason to change my tone, if you want to leave this conversation that's fine, I'll leave you alone, but stop spamming the video with your propaganda.

selvmordspilot on 2011-02-27
: I assume you'll ...
: I assume you'll keep spewing you ignorance no matter what i say. But tell me this, are these "scientist dictators" imbued with super human strength? Because there's no police or military to defend their evil schemes. I wont bother pointing out the flaws of comparing an RBE with the Sovjet; since i already did that a million times, but you dont seem to remember. Unless you give a actual, meaningful and intelligent answer, this is the last you'll hear from me.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-27
What really tickles ...
What really tickles my funny bone about you guys is that you think somehow people KNOWING the scientist dictators are abusing their power will somehow make them stop doing it. Because that's totally what happened in the Soviet Union right? The people just walk into the Kremlin and told Uncle Joe he was up to no-good and he immediately resigned from office.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-27
Because no matter ...
Because no matter how durable you make it, it will break the down, and the more complex the programs are, the more likely they are to glitch out at some point and so the more maintenance they need. Automation and all that jazz is just a computer telling machines what Humans told it to tell them to. Machines can't do anything by themselves, they need to be told to. So yeah, welcome to technocratic/communist of the future. KM would be proud.

selvmordspilot on 2011-02-27
; Sigh.. And this ...
; Sigh.. And this is why I didn't want to bother answering you "Computers can't do anything unless they're told to, and they need constant maintenance" Double fallacy. First off, unless you consider initial programming as "telling computers to" - then you're wrong, there's a thing called automation and robot technology. Ever heard of it? Second, "constant" maintanance? Why is this? If it's made from durable materials, it will probably only need maintanance when it is outdated.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-27
Alrighty then, let ...
Alrighty then, let me just filter the bs out: since computers can't do anything unless they're told to, and they need constant maintenance, the part about it operating on its own is just rubbish. So ok, scientists will control it, and since it doesn't matter one bit whether or not people know they're abusing their power or not, they can do whatever they want without having to justify themselves to anyone. So yeah, it's a technocratic/communist dictatorship, congrats!

selvmordspilot on 2011-02-27
: I try only ...
: I try only talking to people who are willing to listen. But if you insist on getting your knowledge from me, then sure! The central computer is neither owned, nor controlled by anyone. It operates on it's own; and is only controlled by the data feed. The only persons who have any 'power' in this matter (i assume this is what you're really asking); are the programmers and scientists who write the initial program. Obviously this process must be peer reviewed èn masse.

TheGoldenKing20 on 2011-02-27
Why? Why don't tell ...
Why? Why don't tell me? You'd think you'd wanna tell me? Wait, can you even tell me who it is that controls the computers, do you even know?

selvmordspilot on 2011-02-27
; You're not good ...
; You're not good at remembering names are you? ^ ^ Well I am, and I've had enough of your shit. Go research it yourself; the information is out there. Zeitgeist Addendum should have the answer you're looking for.
