As long as ...
As long as corporate-sponsored consumerism is allowed to function, then your ascertation is true. However, if enough feel oblidged to no longer support such a myopic, destructive paradigm then the transition will occur much more smoothly and sooner. The key element behind this, of course, is education and social awareness...two aspects which those who current control desperately seek to keep subdued. Fortunately, there's such things as the internet. :)

If we everyone in ...
If we everyone in the world wanted to live like the average America we would need resources of 4,5 earths... All we have is 1 and people dont like change...

I wish we were in ...
I wish we were in the world now but as they say no pain no gain. I can do without the pain to get to the gain.

What if it could be ...
What if it could be proven to you that we have the technology to provide for the needs of 7 billion people right now? That's what we need, isn't it? The evidence to demonstrate that reality. Let's see if that can be proven now... or in the near future. Let's keep an open mind. Technology is moving forward almost faster than we can comprehend. Let's see what happens. Remember, "Man is never going to walk on the moon!" That was the common belief in 1950.

the human race will ...
the human race will transition fast and soon. either on its own, by the destructive systems they follow or... Nature herself. the only thing humanity can or should agree on, is its only commonality... natures laws. until this is understood(once again) we will be in conflict with each other and nature itself.... this is called dominion, and dominion is pure insanity... doing and or following the same thing over and over expecting different results.. drunk on dominion we are.

I didnt want to use ...
I didnt want to use this analogy, but a Star trek type future would be great... I see more chance of it being like the movie "Alien" or "Starship Troopers".... Do I have any new ideas??? No... In my opinion, the best thing would be a benevolent dictator, but whats the chances of that happening...

I never said we ...
I never said we were going to kill ourselves... I believe humans will always be around, at least as long as this planet is here. It may not support any other life but we have the tech to survive is smaller numbers. Doing this with 7 billion and growing is like believing flying spaghetti monster.... I think there is more chance of the world ending on oct 21st 2011 than us ever seeing the V project as a reallity...

Back in the 1950's, ...
Back in the 1950's, millions of people were saying we'd never walk on the moon. 20 years later, there we are. We'd have to be an enlightened society to move in sync with our planet. So... probably won't happen. But never say never. To think we'll go on killing ourselves with this destructive consumption cycle and corrupt social system... that's a future that's just too pessimistic and hopeless for me to embrace. If you have any solutions in mind, please share. Thank you.

1) You don't have ...
1) You don't have to live in a round city. That's just an idea that might be more efficient. Other ideas will follow. 2) A computer is not going to manage our future. It's used only as a tool to help make the most informed, rational, logical decisions possible. It's all open-source, for everyone to see. 3) Lying for personal gain is behavior resulting from a system of scarcity. It need not be this way anymore, and I would like to try to move us in another direction.

Please read my ...
Please read my other responses for a summary... But basically, the movment will never happen in our life time, and especially with 7 billion strong and growing... Its the words a wise, wise man, Stupid is a stupid does... ;)
SlashDotDash121 on 2011-06-03
We as humans ...
We as humans evolved to lie for personal gain, even apes lie according to the documenteries I have seen... Personal gain is a part of who we are just as much as love and sympathy for other people... I could go on and on, but to sum it up, the Z movement is a nice dream, but sadly that is all it will ever be...
SlashDotDash121 on 2011-06-03
Now that 70 million ...
Now that 70 million... Say half changed their mind and thought, fine we will go along with this... That other 35 million may rather die than give up their land to the big new world order... I for one do not want to live in a round city with limited parts in a different configuration... I also do not like the idea of a computer managing the future of mankind and especially the people who programme that uber computer... You talk about human nature. TBC

No, I watched the ...
No, I watched the whole thing... Longest 2X60seconds ever... I have also researched the Zeitgeist movment and the Venus Project... In my opinion it will never happen... Unless there is apocalypse and the human race can start again but with our current level of technology... Trying to get 7 billion people to agree, like that would ever happen... Say you managed to get 99% of the world to agree to this and only 1% said FUCK NO!!! Thats 70 million people... TBC

I was just wondering if you watched the whole video? It sounds like you maybe watched 30 seconds or so, stopped, made your comment, and moved on. I don't think you would've made that comment if you watched the whole thing, that's all.
