You just don't get digital culture... It's not about substituting our lives. And it's not just a tool for communication. The internet and the web itself is a world on its own... there are lots of interesting people there. Of course it's not about cancelling all physical interaction, that's just stupid and impossible. It's about accessing a world that has been created by our minds. And that is very exciting...

get off your ass and actually experience life, go and travel and meet these people face to face...you are wasting your life in front of a screen and you are very mistaken when you say you have been unlocked, you have been locked into a world of virtual nonsense! The internet and technology should be used as a tool for communication and as a way to find out information, but not to substitute our lives!

So what speed is free internet in the US? You can get it free here in Australia, but it's only something like 256/64. Probably for old people on pensions or something. And you're pretty lucky to get 20mbps. In the start of next year, the government will probably have installed FTTN in my town. Can't wait.

Then free internet in the USA sucks. I'm in an urban area and I just recently got 20 mbps cable with package. But normal price of the would be $68 USD. I bet in Sweden for that price you can get like 40 which means 11 sucks.

Depending on how you look at it. Citizens in Sweden have free internet, and they average something like 11mbps. Then they can get ridiculously fast internet for the same price that most places pay for average internet.

Free internet sucks. Even the ones you have to buy a coffee to get sucks. When cloud computing kicks in full gear, I don't think many good things will work well with free internet.
