I don't see it as inherently good or bad, if one values absolute peace it could be good but someone that values having more personal freedom would see it as bad. the movie Equilibrium comes to mind, they strives for a very peaceful, utilitarian society. The Human experience could be anything from driving a car to eating food, or picking out curtains for the living room, but every action and aspect has to be filtered through the needs of others.

i understand that, but really don't think people will base themselves as numbers if that were the case we would already be doing that with a social security numbers. Since no matter were we go that who we are. i think names make a individual sure most of us may have the same name but its still our name. Well no one knows the future will just have to wait and see.

If we take competition out of the culture there should be less aggression. yes there are many nasty people around. But I think a massive part of that is their upbringing and their environment.
