THE RESOURCE-BASED-ECONOMY GAME

My attempt to have a little fun while explaining the ideas and concepts of an "RBE". The full version of the "Resource Based Economy / Zeitgeist Movement Game" is just under two hours. This edited version is 50 minutes, and touches on many of the "questions", but with less detail. If you're interested in seeing the full version, it begins here -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqTrKSMxhq4 Nobody does a better job of explaining this stuff than Peter Joseph. If you haven't watched his videos, here are a few for starters. "Arriving at a RBE -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVPz7uXLZtI "Where Are We Now?" -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O67AZfUMXw "Where Are We Going?" -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxPPnCW6sMo His two documentary-films related to the RBE are Must See! Zeitgeist Addendum -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gKX9TWRyfs Zeitgeist, Moving Forward -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z9WVZddH9w The Venus Project promotes a Resource Based Economy, as does The Zeitgeist Movement. Also, The Free World Charter. They have a great video that gets right to the point (6 min.) -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvDKTRgoSS8

Yeah Thats all ...
Yeah Thats all correct. But wouldn't it be wise to fight the system on its own battlefield, I mean, when introduced to RBE maybe some of the bastards in the congress whould wake up aswell.

Yes, it would be ...
Yes, it would be possible to create a political party. But I think most people supporting the resource-based-economy would say it's impossible to make these kind of changes from within our current system (where money buys legislation). Opposition to the status quo continues to grow in social movements all over the world. This massive shift in consciousness and values will most likely be the key to transition into a new, sensible, humane, rational system... on a global scale!

That sounds like a ...
That sounds like a religion to me - and not social science fact. No matter how advanced our technology, it will be people whom have to implement it to free mankind from labour, and find a new direction for humanity while sustaining the habitability of the planet. I'd like you to find actual University level scientific understandings to back up the claims whivh you've just made. Cause boy, it sure sounds like religion. Don't get me wrong I like the ideas...

A resource based ...
A resource based economy is about moving out of the monetary system. At some point in the future, our advanced technology.can make that possible. And when that happens, so many things change... are left behind... let go. No need for "taking" from others, gaining advantage, fighting wars, social stratification, and on and on. This is all I meant by "removed". In an RBE, these "barriers" disappear. (I should have said "disappear")

Money is just ...
Money is just information, measurement of value. The problem is, in some cases, it can be accumulated by destroying value that belongs to other individuals, in wich case it has the same effect as stealing, or worse, economic vandalism. Therefore we should not concentrate on how to get rid of money, that process would in fact destroy wealth as value transactions get handicapped and synergy effects decrease. Instead we should concentrate on making economic vandalism impossible.

You say removed. ...
You say removed. Removed how? The change has to come from inside, so by using "removed" which implies force from outside, how will that work? Money is a tool which the people addicted to inequality abuse to get more for themselves and less for everybody else. You might react to this in a similar way as you've just reacted to jcost2010 (2 months ago), but I'm asking you for something more specific. Something more scientific. Which is part of the doctrine, isn't it?

I think you're " ...
I think you're "over-thinking" this magical-computer issue. Computers wouldn't be making decisions for us. They'd assist in evaluating data to determine maximum efficiency, like... What are the wind patterns on the planet? These stats can be entered in today's computers to determine the best location for solar-energy systems, etc. If you were playing a high-stakes game of chess, wouldn't you want a computer helping to analyze all the possible moves? To add to this ...
To add to this point. Yes, it's true that everyone sees skin color and facial structure differences. Yes, it's true that people prefer people who like their own family members. However, the systematic organized racism that defines history (and the present day) is exactly as dvmovie describes it: It is based upon differential advantage to the benefit of those who have previously gained power. It's like knowing that your friend is homeless makes you feel better about having a crap job, cubed.

In addition to the Peter Joseph vids you list in the description, another one you may want to check out is titled "Social Pathology." It's a lecture he gave at the 2010 Z-Day. It is one of my favorite lectures of his. You can view it on both youtube and vimeo.

There wouldn't be ...
There wouldn't be one central computer, i also don't think that would be possible. It might be more of a network between smaller super computers, like within each city or community. Like the innernette!

by the time the world arrives to an RBE it stands to reason it should be increasingly more enlightened, if not at least more educated than it is now. racism is born out of fear. fear is born out of ignorance. end ignorance, you end racism

I understand the ...
I understand the concept of a central computer making all the relevant decissions for us humans... what I don't understand is where is this magical central computer with millions of RAM memory terabytes that would apply this magical algorithm that would substitute the billions of decissions made every day by every human in the face of the earth? Where is it?
