Exploring the yard

katie and Bennie as Bennie maps out the yard. Bennie has micro-opthalmia (small eyes) and has limited vision and sight. He is learning the boundaries of the yard. He does get a bit fearful if he gets lost or confused and that is why some of the video is not so good as I try to get within his eyesight to calm him.

Little stevie at her forever home.

Stevie loves her big adopted brother BamBam, and he adores her. BamBam watches over her, protects her and is a patient teacher of 'things that cats do'. Stevie was born with a genetic defect - underdeveloped eyes (micro-opthalmia). Her time was almost up when we found each other in the West LA Shelter. Stevie made it through the shelter system and survived through a series of compassionate and dedicated individuals who helper her along, and who said a silent prayer that she would survive despite all odds stacked against her. After all, who would adopt a nearly blind kitty? These people are the guardian angels that helped her make it through and into her forever home. I don't know all the details of her journey or know whose hands she passed through, becasue she could have been in several foster homes and cared for by many different people before being sent to the shelter for adoption. They all must have known that there was something wrong with Stevie, but they still lovingly cared for her to make her strong, while hoping for a miracle. Please help me find these people by sharing this video. I want them to know and see that the little Simese girl, with the white streak on her nose, is safe and sound in her forever home, and loved. Bennie and the toys

This is a bit grainy but cute. Bennie is a little dachshund with micro-opthalmia (small eyes). He has no vision in the left eye and only partial in the right and he has some hearing loss. But he is such a doll! We just adopted him today from the same rescue group that we got our Katie-Bug from.
