Heres a demo I made of the Line 6 Pod HD500 using their Bogner Uberschall model. The rhythm guitar as well as the lead after the solo are double tracked. Drums were programmed in Ableton Live and bass was played using my guitar with the bass amp model in Ableton. Here is one of my favourite sounds of the Line 6 - Pod HD500. That guy there is just me improvising. I used a less distorted setting to show the dynamics of the amp model. When soloing, I often add a Screamer model, which thickens the sound and make it breathe even more. --------------- Sound: The tone was recorded via USB direct recording and not through the Webcam. Line 6 pod hd500 heavy metal tones / patches demo

I've had an HD500 for four weeks now and have refined a selection of metal tones that I'll be using in my studio recordings. Here's a rough recording of a few of them, using the three 'metal' amps (Bogner, Mesa and ENGL) but also a Line 6 distortion pedal through a clean amp. A lot of people have criticised the POD for having unsatisfactory heavy tones but I think a lot of them might be neglecting some simple tips and tricks. Here, I've incorporated a few little tricks to get some pretty heavy tones based on Machine Head, Dream Theater and Trivium. I might post up the full settings if people are interested and reveal some of the basic and more advanced tricks you can use. ALL TONES HERE ARE DIRECT FROM THE POD, NO POST-PRODUCTION OR ADDITIONAL EFFECTS USED. First of all - sorry for the shaky camera. All of a sudden, I've turned into my dad. With that being said, it's been a while since I've posted anything, and I've purchased a few new items.
