Save the giant australian cuttlefish & relocate bhp billiton's point lowly desalination plant

Save the Giant Australian Cuttlefish & relocate BHP Billiton's Point Lowly desalination plant
cuttlefishcountry.com Oceanographer Jochen Kaempf of Flinders University makes a personal plea to the South Australian Parliament to relocate the recently approved BHP Billiton desalination plant. The plant received environmental approval from State and Federal governments on October 10th, and once constructed will deposit wastewater brine pollution directly into the slow-flushing Upper Spencer Gulf system. To prevent the possiblity of the the total annihilation of Upper Spencer Gulf's Giant Australian Cuttlefish and impact on other species, an alternative location outside Spencer Gulf must be sought for the plant. Associate Professor Jochen Kaempf has presented his case for the plants relocation consistently since the plant's initial proposal several years ago.
