The Soyuz craft rose from the Baikonur cosmodrome on schedule at 0404 (GMT), thundering through a clear blue sky at more than 8000 miles per hour. It was launched amid tightened security following two suicide attacks on the Moscow metro. Live pictures broadcast from the craft showed Mr Skvortsov smiling as a toy duck nicknamed 'Quack' dangled overhead. Astronauts and space tourists could one day be sharing an armrest as they hurtle toward outer space under an agreement announced Wednesday between aerospace giant Boeing Co. and a private spaceflight marketing firm. Under the deal, Space Adventures of Vienna, Va., will market passenger seats aboard the seven-person spaceship that Boeing is developing in Huntington Beach. It is designed to fly atop a variety of launch vehicles and is expected to be ready to go by 2015. The spaceship, dubbed the Crew Space Transportation-100, is considered a contender for the job of ferrying astronauts to and from the International Space Station after the space shuttle program ends in 2011. Out of deep respect for a truly great man and human being, I post this video with the hope that others will learn more about him and his soul through his art. These are just a few examples. From Aleksey's art you can see that going to the Moon was all he ever dreamed about and that both the Soviets and the United States made sure that Aleksey lived his dream, because of the many great contributions of this man to mankind, the two governments owed it to him. The US (and a number of corporations) supplied a rocket ship and two pilots. This is an awesome story that will eventually be made into a movie. Sadly, the most striking thing about all this is that all the US media outlets have censured this story. One would think that at least Coast-to-Coast with Noorey and Art Bell, or Rense.com, or Lina Howe's EarthFiles.com would have something, but they don't. Instead, they've all seized onto a bogus "dragonfly" story to direct everyone's attention away from the reality of Apollo 20 and from the reality of the US fleet of discs etc. Aleksey A.
