Mortal kombat fatalities - the obscure, censored, and unseen

Yet more oddities from the MK-verse. This is a fast-paced assault of the many fatalities from MK1 through MKT that aren't entirely well known for one reason or another. Overview: MK1 (SNES) - The infamous censored fatalities. MK1 (GEN) - I'm sure everyone is familiar with the blood code for this version. However, this is what you would be seeing if you didn't input said code. MK1 (GB) - The censorship carried over to the handheld ports. MK1 (GG) - Ditto. However, this Game Gear port has a blood code like the Genesis version, thus restoring the violent fatalities if you enter it. MK2 (SNES) - A small example of how the fatalities were censored in the Japanese version of MK2. MK2 (GB) - One small altered fatality. Notice how the skeleton sprite from MK1 is used. MK2 (GG) - Some minorly altered fatalities. MK3 (GB) - Exclusive fatalities. Note that Shao Kahn's hammer move can only be used during the "Finish Him!" sequence, so it's sort of a fatality. Playing as Kahn causes many graphical glitches, as you can see. MKT (PC, PSX, and SAT) - Fatalities from the "classic" characters which are not included in the Supreme Demonstration. Kung Lao's fatality refused to decapitate, so I'm led to believe it's broken. (Edit: Oops, seems I'm wrong about that.) Also, I included Johnny Cage's backbreaker fatality since it, too, is not in the Supreme Demonstration, but also because this fatality was replaced in the N64 version. I, pliskin, decided to make this month's video a little different. It's suppose to feel broken and censored (hence why everything in mario is blocked out with colored "censor" bars). Anyway well when you make yoshi shoot his tongue out he will literally show the mario sprite as if megaman wasnt there. Graphically and playing wise this game is bad. Its awkward with jumping too as sometimes it gets stuck and wont let you move right away. Overall, this game is a super mario world clone down to the bone. The only thing changed is the sprite being megaman and the addition of the gun. The game is slow, boring, and you'll just be wishing you were playing the original as soon as you pick it up. www.wrathborne.com Pixel Perfect Ep2 8-bit kombat: slightly less violent fatalities When MK vs. DCU was released, everyone (including myself) was livid that the game was going to be rated Teen, which meant no gory fatalities. However the majority of the fatalities were pretty good as they were, so I got to thinking about making some of my own Teen-rated fatalities with old school MK sprites. As I was limited to the sprite libraries at hand, I ended up doing some variations of a few of the MK vs. DCU fatalities. So due to this limitation, only MOST of these finishers are created by me. After seeing the sprites used for so many shitty pirated MK NES games, I thought it'd be nice to put the graphics to good use. For whatever reason I'm a sucker for these low-res NES graphics and thought "what the hell?" So here they are in supreme demonstration mode. A few things though: 1: some of these sprites are modded from MK1(Liu kang, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Cage) 2: I did a little modding myself, but only minor effects (an explosion, and a few character poses) 3: All the sprites were ripped by }{ombat from www.mortalkombatwarehouse.com , big thanks to him as I couldn't have done all this by myself. Mortal kombat 3 (nes pirate)

This actually isn't that bad of a pirate. It plays pretty smoothly compared to some of the crap I've played in the past, and the 8-bit music remix kicks ass. My only gripe is the controls. Official MK games use four attack buttons for high kicks, low kicks, high punches, and low punches. Problem is the NES only has A and B, so the special attcks are all weird new combinations.
