'the hobbit', audio book- part i of iii

This is JRR Tolkien's 'The Hobbit'. A classic on so many levels methinks^_^ This reading of the book by Nicol Williamson is an abridged version, meaning of course that it is not the entire book word for word. Anywho, I put some pictures in with the vid, though they're not in sync with the story. That's what your imagination is for.. O_o And if ye're anything like me, ye'll know that reading a book like The Hobbit, or LOTR & using your imagination to see the world, to create those memorable feelings, is immeasurably more satisfying than watching any movie. Not dissing the LOTR movies here peoples, I quite enjoy the.. first one, but they're just movies with no-where near the feeling of the books. That being said, I like perrty pictures too & so I put some in here just because. Suggestion: Forget the pictures, have a quiet room, close yours eyes, sit back & listen. JRR Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring". This is an UNABRIDGED audio-book of Tolkien's classic work read by Rob Inglis. The art-work seen throughout these videos is from artists such as John Howe, Alan Lee, Ted Nasmith, Anke Eissman, the Brothers Hildebrandt, Roger Garland, various artists from around the internet, an many whose pictures I found at Deviant Art, & of course, pictures also done by Tolkien himself. Obviously The Lord of the Rings is not my own work, I just happen to hold Tolkien's writings in high esteem ^_^ I've put these videos together because I hope to share the book that has always held a special place in my heart & mind. I enjoy reading Tolkien's books on a dark, rainy day personally. I hope ye get the chance to do the same, though many people in this day & age have no desire to read books O_o .... Feeding the mind is a dying exercise it seems. So for those that don't know what they're missing, here is my second choice, the audio-book. George Müller ( Audio Book Reading ) - Answers to Prayer, from George Müller's Narratives (1 of 4) George Müller playlist: www.youtube.com "I know of no way in which the principal truths of God's word in regard to prayer can be more effectually illustrated and established than a short review of his life" - Andrew Murray George Müller (1805-1898), English preacher and philanthropist, was born near Halberstadt, Germany, on the 27th of September 1805, the son of an exciseman [formerly, a government agent who collects excise tax on goods and prevents smuggling]. He subsequently became a naturalized British subject. Educated in Germany, he resolved in 1826 to devote himself to missionary work, and in 1828 went to London to prepare for an appointment offered him by the Society for promoting Christianity among the Jews. In 1830, however, he gave up the idea of missionary work, and became minister of a small congregation at Teignmouth, Devonshire. He contended that the temporal as well as the spiritual needs of life could be supplied by prayer, and on this principle abolished pew rents and refused to take a fixed salary. After two years at Teignmouth, Müller removed to Bristol, where he spent the rest of his life. He saw the great awakening of 1859 which he said "led to the conversion of hundreds of thousands."1 He did follow up work for DL Moody, preached for Charles Spurgeon, and inspired the missionary faith of Hudson Taylor. 'the hobbit', audio book- part iii of iii

This is JRR Tolkien's 'The Hobbit'. A classic on so many levels methinks^_^ This reading of the book by Nicol Williamson is an abridged version, meaning of course that it is not the entire book word for word. Anywho, I put some pictures in with the vid, though they're not in sync with the story. That's what your imagination is for.. O_o And if ye're anything like me, ye'll know that reading a book like The Hobbit, or LOTR & using your imagination to see the world, to create those memorable feelings, is immeasurably more satisfying than watching any movie. Not dissing the LOTR movies here peoples, I quite enjoy the.. first one, but they're just movies with no-where near the feeling of the books. That being said, I like perrty pictures too & so I put some in here because I could. Suggestion: Forget the pictures, have a quiet room, close yours eyes, sit back & listen.
