The mysterious deaths of nine gulf oil spill whistleblowers

The Mysterious Deaths of Nine Gulf Oil Spill Whistleblowers
In the past year, nine vocal critics or potential whistleblowers of the Gulf oil spill all died in extremely mysterious ways. Their deaths could be strange, unrelated coincidences. Or they could have been killed as part of a conspiracy to silence those who were speaking out against the worst oil spill in American history. Gulf oil spill-gutsy solution restores environment in just six weeks

Gulf Oil Spill-Gutsy Solution Restores Environment in Just Six Weeks
www.SpillFighters.com - The Texas Land Office and Texas Water Commission successfully used 'oil eating' microbes to clean up large oil spills in just weeks. Microbes hunt down and eat the toxic oil and leave only a biodegradable waste that is non-toxic to humans and marine life. Marshland and beaches were pristine again in just weeks---not years like the Exxon Valdez spill. This is the answer to save the seafood industry and all the precious creatures we are about to kill.

How gulf oil spill estimates got it so wrong

How Gulf Oil Spill Estimates Got It So Wrong
June 23, 2011 — Marine oil spills are usually measured by the amount of oil floating on the surface. But the BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico, from a deep-sea well, required a different approach. Find out how one fluid-dynamics expert caused estimates to rise sharply practically overnight. © 2011 National Geographic Funded in part by NSF. Field producing and videography by Fritz Faerber.

Bp oil spill in the gulf of mexico: one year later

BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico: One Year Later
Also available on our web site launchpad39a.com BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico One Year Later British Petroleum, more commonly known as BP, is a global oil and gas company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It is the third-largest energy company and fourth-largest company in the world measured by revenues and one of the six oil and gas giants. On 20 April 2010, the semi-submersible exploratory offshore drilling rigm Deepwater Horizon, exploded after a blowout; it sank two days later, killing 11 people. This blowout in the Macondo Prospect field in the Gulf of Mexico resulted in a partially capped oil well one mile below the surface of the water. Experts estimate the gusher to be flowing at 35000 to 60000 barrels per day of oil. The exact flow rate was uncertain due to the difficulty of installing measurement devices at that depth and was a matter of ongoing debate. The resulting oil slick covered at least 2500 square miles, fluctuating from day to day depending on weather conditions. It threatened the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and Florida. The drilling rig, DeepWater Horizon, was owned and operated by Transocean Ltd on behalf of BP, which is the majority owner of the Macondo oil field. At the time of the explosion, there were 126 crew on board; seven were employees of BP and 79 of Transocean. The US Government has named BP the responsible party, and officials have committed to hold the company accountable for all clean-up costs and other ...

NASA | Satellites View Growing Gulf Oil Spill
Two NASA satellites are capturing images of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, which began April 20, 2010 with the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig. This short video reveals a space-based view of the burning oil rig and, later, the ensuing oil spill through May 24. The timelapse uses imagery from the MODIS instrument, on board NASA's Terra and Aqua satellites. The oil slick appears grayish-beige in the image and changes due to changing weather, currents, and use of oil dispersing chemicals. This video can be downloaded in full resolution at: svs.gsfc.nasa.gov Images in this video times series were selected that show the spill most clearly. The full image archive is available at: rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov You can learn more about the oil spill by visiting www.nasa.gov Imagery and information about the oil spill is also available on NASA's Earth Observatory Natural Hazards Web page: earthobservatory.nasa.gov Like our videos? Gulf oil spill conspiracy theory jesse ventura

Gulf Oil Spill Conspiracy Theory Jesse Ventura
The Gulf Oil Spill Aired: 12/10/2010 The Gulf Oil Disaster Conspiracy: Jesse and his team travel to the gulf and uncover a government conspiracy to forcefully depopulate the gulf region so the corporations that run the US government can use the entire region as one giant oil refinery. They also determine the oil disaster itself was planned, as evidence of insider trading is uncovered, in addition to the fact that Halliburton, who ended up making billions of dollars from the clean-up, purchased the largest oil spill clean up company, "Boots & Coots" just 11 days prior to the disaster... Original TruTV description: The BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico has led to devastation along Louisiana's coast and in its fishing and tourism industries. But was it deliberate? Jesse Ventura leads his team into the bayou where they investigate claims of a plot to depopulate Louisiana and turn it into America's refinery. At the core: the government's alleged secret, multi-billion dollar depopulation program that began in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and was kicked into Phase Two with the oil rig blast. TV-PG-LV

Gulf oil spill effects on wildlife

Gulf Oil Spill Effects On Wildlife
Science & Reason on Facebook: tinyurl.com What are and will be the effects of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill on the wildlife in the area? --- Please subscribe to Science & Reason: • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com --- Scientists to study impact of gulf oil spill on marine food webs Shells from oysters, clams, and periwinkles hold clues about the ways and rates at which harmful compounds from the spill are being incorporated into the Gulf's marine food web. New reports are surfacing every day about the immediate impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on Gulf Coast wildlife, especially as the oil reaches the sensitive marshlands along the coast. But how will these communities be affected over time? Scientists currently know very little about how long it takes for the hydrocarbons and heavy metals in crude oil to work their way through marine food webs. To address this issue, California Academy of Sciences researcher Peter Roopnarine is working with Laurie Anderson from Louisiana State University and David Goodwin from Denison University to collect and analyze three different types of mollusks from the Gulf Coast. These animals are continually building their shells, and if contaminants are present in their environment, they can incorporate those compounds into their shells. Roopnarine and his colleagues will study growth rings in the shells - much like scientists would study tree rings - to determine how quickly harmful compounds from ...

OLS - Gulf Oil Doomsday - Knowledge Is Power - 2010
Watchman's Warning: This video is not intended to spread fear, however we should all know what the truth really is in the Gulf of Mexico. Some points I would like to share: I know the stock market went up almost 300 points today and the jobs report was better, but we are being deceived. Have we all forgot what is happening in the Gulf? That's right, we really don't see or hear very much from the main stream media. If our economy was already teetering on collapse, what in the world will happen now with the truth? Things to Ponder: - Destruction of the Tourism Industry(jobs) - Destruction of the Fishing Industry (jobs) - Toxic Fumes over the coastline causing people to get very ill - Hurricane Season could push toxins in the air to New York(just look at a typical hurricane that hits the coast and travels up the coast) - Gulf evacuations - etc?(the list goes on) THE TIME IS NOW TO PREPARE...IT'S ALL UP TO YOU....

Thousands of Gulf Oil Spill Clean-up Crew Are Dying! Video Of The dying!
Fight Tyranny: This is NOT me in the video , I feel that the more people who upload and share this, the better . Thanks for all your support guys!! I however (Fight Tyranny) Have a source who recently leaked this information to me. Two days ago i was made aware through a source i trust that BP still has 6 very large tanks of diesel still on the ocean floor (that were there to power the drill/rig). Two blew when the rig went the first time. The source that alerted me to this three days ago was someone who was directly involved in observing the damage done to these remaining tanks. What makes this case interesting (apart from BP not mentioning any other potential disasters that might be still lurking down there), is that they gagged my friend. All members of the team assembled to observe the damage had gag order's/'legally alerted to action' applied before they even decended and reminded again upon completion that action would be taken if they mention they'd observed anything or even mention being there. He went on to say the fed's were onboard (1 man/1 woman), lawyers and an executive. he said it was serious stuff. The lawyers, exec's that were with them on the ship before they controlled the ROV to go down there gagged the team. He didn't go into too much detail he did say that the damage to the tanks was 'substantial' and didn't rule out another spill. these six other tanks down there, they could either blow, or leak... `i was going to keep this on the d-low like he ...

Oil spill in gulf of mexico reaches us gulf coast

Oil spill in Gulf of Mexico reaches US Gulf coast
www.timesofearth.com Louisiana - Small amounts of oil from a massive spill in the Gulf of Mexico have reached US shores. Officials said the leak, from an oil rig sunk by a massive explosion last week, was five times worse than previously thought, and could trigger a disaster of "national significance" on the Gulf coast. By sunset on Thursday, the oil had reached the mouth of Mississippi River, lapping at the shoreline in long, thin lines and threatening birds, marine life and some of the country's richest seafood grounds. The massive slick has prompted the southern US state of Louisiana to declare a state of emergency and the White House to step up its response. Barack Obama, the US president, said his administration would use every resource at its disposal, including the military, to stop the spill and help alleviate its impact. "While BP is ultimately responsible for funding the cost of response and cleanup operations, my administration will continue to use every single available resource at our disposal, including potentially the department of defence, to address the incident," Obama said on Thursday. BP, the British energy company responsible for the damage caused by the leak, said it was grateful for the offer of help from the military. "We'll take help from anyone, I mean we welcome the offer from the department of defence, we're working with the experts across the industry," Doug Suttles, chief operating officer of BP's exploration and production unit, said. "We're ...

Gulf Oil May Not Degrade for Decades! - Alex Jones Tv {Sunday Edition} 1/6
Gulf Oil May Not Degrade for Decades Washington's Blog August 22, 2010 As you might have heard, scientists are finding gigantic under oil plumes from the BP spill, including one that is more than 22 miles long, more than a mile wide and 650 feet deep. On Thursday, Dr. Ian MacDonald and and Dr. Lisa Suatoni testified to a Congressional subcommittee that the oil will stay toxic, and will not degrade much further, for decades. MacDonald is an expert in deep-ocean extreme communities including natural hydrocarbon seeps, gas hydrates, and mud volcano systems, a former long-time NOAA scientist, and a professor of Biological Oceanography at Florida State University. Suatoni has a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Yale, and is Senior Scientist at the Natural Resources Defense Council's Oceans Program. Dr. MacDonald told Congress that the oil has already degraded, emulsified and evaporated about as much as its going to, and it is going to very resistant for further biodegradation. The oil will be in the environment for a long-time, he said, and the imprint of the BP discharge will be detectable "for the rest of my life" (he's 58, and the average lifespan for American men is about 76; so that's some 18 years). Dr. Suatoni told Congress that oil which goes into low-oxygen zones will remain in a full toxic form for decades. Why isn't the oil degrading faster? Black Water (BP Version) - Gulf Oil Spill Doobie Brothers Parody
So maybe you've heard that there's this oil spill thing going on in the Gulf Of Mexico. But don't worry... "The ocean will take care of this on its own," according to Rush Limbaugh. "It's natural. It's as natural as the ocean water is." In Rush's defense, he's only marginally stupider than most people when it comes to proposing solutions. In fact, since some of BP's actions indicate that they're smoking something, their team really should be renamed The Doobie Brothers... Want to help? Rachel Maddow - 1979 Ixtoc Gulf Oil Spill Very Similar to BP Oil Spill - May 27, 2010
There are strong parallels between the two spills. Like the Deepwater Horizon spill, the Ixtoc 1 spill on June 3, 1979, involved the failure of a blowout preventer device, a kind of emergency shutoff valve. In both cases, metal domes put over the well failed to stop the leaks. And in both cases, crews turned to something called relief wells dug horizontally through the seafloor to stop the spills, a technique that can take months. more here: www.the-peoples-forum.com

Gulf Oil used to produce some great spots that only aired during these specials, such as the Apollo news programs or during elections or conventions. Gulf Oil produced "Bringin' Home the Oil", an Irish-themed commercial with a musical sea shanty soundtrack written in 1969 by Tommy Makem and the Clancy Brothers. Riki ott on the gulf: "these people have oil in their bodies." 2/3

Riki Ott on the Gulf:
In this interview with Rose Aguilar, Riki Ott talks about the health crisis caused by the BP oil disaster in the Gulf. She says she's currently dealing with three or four autopsies and knows of people who are down to 4.7% of their lung capacity and have enlarged hearts. "These people have oil in their bodies," she said. She believes four to five million people in the Gulf were exposed to either acute or intermediate levels of oil at dangerous levels. Rose spoke with Riki Ott on the sixth-month anniversary of the BP oil disaster -- one of the largest environmental disasters in US history. In 1989, Ott, a marine toxicologist who lives in Cordova, Alaska, experienced firsthand the devastating effects of the Exxon Valdex oil disaster. She's spent five of the past six months traveling back and forth between Louisiana and Florida to gather information about what's really happening in the Gulf and share the lessons she learned about long-term illnesses and deaths of clean-up workers and residents. She's planning to return in January. Solution for mexico gulf oil spill clean-up

solution for Mexico Gulf Oil Spill Clean-up
A piece of chemically treated cotton cloth is able to separate crude oil from sea water (both from Mexico Gulf) completely within seconds by using gravity alone. It can be developed into various effective tools for cleaning up the oil spill in Mexico Gulf. The treated cloth allows water to path through but not oil. The novel surface chemical treatment method is developed by University of Pittsburgh. Contact gaod@pitt.edu for details.

Gulf oil spill - the real story part 1 of 2

GULF OIL SPILL - THE REAL STORY Part 1 of 2
June 16, 2010 Heard that the relief wells will not work because there is no casing and the only other option is using nukes. What if the Nukes make it larger? Releif Well: Drilling a releif well near the Gulf Oil spill is like a high wire act without a net. Relief wells are something that, fortunately, engineers don't have to do very often. Drilling the relief well also can be fraught with challenges -- especially working in deep water on a well that has already had problems with gas bubbles. You have to hit something the size of a dinner plate miles into the earth Hurricane: 69 percent chance that at least one major hurricane will make landfall on the US and a 44 percent chance that a major hurricane will hit the Gulf Dispersants: Chemical dispersants change the chemical and physical properties of oil, essentially breaking up oil that is congealed at the surface, and sending oil droplets down into the water column. (By dispersing oil into deeper waters, away from human eyes, dispersants can also have the welcome public relations effect of making the spill appear smaller). The primary objective of chemical dispersants is to avoid sending oil slicks into the nearshore marine environment. We know from years of studies following the Exxon Valdez disaster that oil can persist in sediments for decades and can lead to long-term impacts to generations and generations of fish, shrimp, and crabs that rely on coastal habitat, so it makes sense that we do our best to keep oil from ...

Proving Corexit Poisoning-Civil Engineer Marco Kaltofen-Gulf Oil Spill
Watch step by step as WPI Chemical Engineer Marco Kaltofen performs an experiment using actual crude oil from the BP well and Corexit 9500A, the oil dispersant used by BP in the Deepwater Horizon disaster. Mr. Kaltofen demonstrates how Corexit suspends the most toxic hydrocarbons in the water column by a factor of about 35X more than absorbtion from crude oil alone, which floats to the surface in its natural form. BP used close to 2M gallons of this dispersant at the base of the blown out oil well and at the surface of the Gulf of Mexico, allowing this substance to mix into 5000 feet worth of water from the base of the well.
