Sleep during language lesson in d

Sleep During Language Lesson in D
Sleep During Language Lesson in D is a musical work I created with 15 years, and I consider it my first progressive metal composition. This 8'33'' piece describes a story in which a child falls asleep while taking language lessons. The child is tired of going to the school to learn something that he actually does not want to learn every day; that is the reason why he immerses into the world of Dreams. He hears a concrete note while dreaming. That note is D, my favourite note (for me, notes have an specific personality, and D is related to dreams, to death, to my chilhood...). In fact, (and apart from two or three significant modulations), the whole piece's Tonic is D, because, if I could dream hearing an specific note, I would want to hear D. The child remembers old times when he did not have to go to school, or even when he went there but he liked the things he learned. Sometimes, when the tonic moves to Bb, the child feels that he is just in a dream, but not in reality. This feeling makes him to be distressed, because he wants to live in his perfect world. There is another part of the piece in which the child lives a nightmare; I must admit that I just left my hands where they fell in the piano keyboard =), as I wanted to generate a more discordant sound. Finally, the child continues dreaming, leaving his problems and his inner fears... but something suddenly pulls him to reality, and wakes up hearing the tiring, excessively typical and sweet C Major chord, maybe the ...

Mind Your Language Season 1 Episode 1 - The First Lesson (Eng Subs)
Original Airdate : December 30, 1977 Jeremy Brown starts his new job as the teacher of English as a Foreign Language class, and meets his students for the first time. A diverse group of ten foreign adult students in London, hailing from nine different countries. From Europe come two au pairs, the flirtatious and beautiful Danielle (France) and prim and proper Anna (Germany); two young single men, Giovanni (Italy) and Max (Greece); and a laid-back middle-aged bartender, Juan (Spain), who speaks no English. From Asia come a revolutionary-minded secretary from the Chinese Embassy (Su-Li) and a Japanese businessman (Taro), as well as three students from the Subcontinent: a devout Punjabi Sikh (Ranjeet); and an unemployed Pakistani Muslim (Ali), who are constantly at each other's throats; and finally an Urdu-speaking housewife (Jamila) who can't speak a word of English. The school principal, Ms. Dolores Courtney, nearly dismisses Mr. Brown immediately as she had requested a female teacher, but he is allowed to stay on a trial basis. comedytvshows.blogspot.com
