El proyecto Venus es el sueño o la locura de Jacque Fresco, un estadounidense que de cierta forma nos parece uno mas de los tantos predicadores que venden sueños. Sin embargo si hay algo rescatable es el optimismo con el que ve el futuro pues habla de un nuevo mundo creado desde cero sustentado con la tecnologia como sistema de orden (nos recuerda a Yo Robot y tambien a Matrix); eliminar los males del ser humano y guiarlo en la implementacion de proyectos que nos lleven a ser una sociedad que en conjunto tome las decisiones (Evangelion(anime) trata de eso). Si bien es cierto que "este mundo esta podrido"(citemos a light de Death Note(anime)) ya hemos visto que el libre albeldrio es lo que nos a llevado a la destruccion pero tambien a la creacion es el "yin - yang" las cosas no son bellas si no existe aquello que llamamos feo; sinembargo querer clasificar la belleza es dificil y si empezaramos por ejemplos basicos como el arte, esta Botero con sus obras sobre gordos que valen millones y se consideran bellas, cuando en la sociedad el ser gordo es sinonimo de fealdad(asi se nos muestra en la TV) entonces la propuesta de Jacque Fresco viene a ser una Utopia aunque se niegue, pues la belleza de este mundo radica en lo distinto que es cada ser humano, logicamente esto nos lleva a la destruccion tanto socialmente como ambientalmente. www.thevenusproject.com

The research center of The Venus Project is the 21.5 acre design center in still pristine south-central Florida, where the future is always taking shape. The actual buildings and conference center are supplemented by models, illustrations, blueprints, posters, books and video presentations.
