Beautiful Recitation Surah Luqman with Transliteration and Translation recited by Mishary Al-Afasy. Luqman (c. 1100 BC) was a wise man for whom Surat Luqman was named after. It is the 31st surah of the Qur'an with 34 ayat. He is believed to be from Africa and according to tradition he was a very observant man who would contemplate the world around him until one day, whilst sleeping under a tree, an angel came to him and said Allah wanted to bestow a gift upon Luqman: either wisdom or prophecy. Luqman chose wisdom soon-after he felt in complete harmony with nature and could understand the inner meaning of things, beyond their physical reality.Traditions also add that he was soon captured and sold as a slave, his master eventually realized that something was strange about Luqman and would test him subliminally with hard and difficult questions Thereafter, Luqman's owner held him in great respect. Luqman was consulted by many people for advice, and the fame of his wisdom spread all over the country . There are many stories about Luqman in Arabic and Turkish literature and the primary historical sources are the Tafsir ibn Kathir and Stories of the Qur'an by Ibn Kathir However the Qur'an does not state whether or not Luqman was a prophet.This Surah includes the advice given to Luqmans son by Luqman.

SURAH AL KAHF HAS 110 Aayah (verses) This Surah was revealed in Mecca Beautifully recitated by SHAIKH SHIRAZAD TALEB . =============== Imam Ahmad recorded that Al-Bara' said: "A man recited Al-Kahf and there was an animal in the house which began acting in a nervous manner. He looked, and saw a fog or cloud overhead. He mentioned this to the Prophet , who said: «اقْرَأْ فُلَانُ، فَإِنَّهَا السَّكِينَةُ تَنْزِلُ عِنْدَ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآن» (Keep on reciting so and so, for this is the tranquillity which descends when one reads Qur'an or because of reading Qur'an;) This was also recorded in the Two Sahihs. This man who recited it was Usayd bin Al-Hudayr, as we have previously mentioned in our Tafsir of Surat Al-Baqarah. Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Ad-Darda' that the Prophet said: «مَنْ حَفِظَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ عُصِمَ مِنَ الدَّجَّال» (Whoever memorizes ten Ayat from the beginning of Surat Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal.) This was also recorded by Muslim, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i and At-Tirmidhi.
