Violent clashes between chicago police and anti-nato protesters (raw video)

The riots began when the protesters tried to force their way through a police line to the site of the meeting. Protesters allegedly threw plastic bottles and paint balloons at the police, who fought back against them with batons and riot gear. Police estimated the crowd on Sunday to be 2500 to 3000, though it appears that many more turned out onto the streets of the city to voice their opposition to NATO's costly and deadly wars. Iraq and Afghanistan veterans also took part in the protests, throwing their medals towards the convention center where the delegates were meeting. The bears appeared to be living in abandoned houses and were roaming the town in small groups of five. At the end of August, the animals were chased away from the town, but not before local people had endured a living hell at the hands of the unwelcome guests. This video shows a young woman, apparently drunk and on the point of relieving herself near an abandoned house. Suddenly, a bear attacks. Passersby shouts to the girl to run away.
